If you are planning to study in Malaysia for more than a short-term course, you will need to apply for a student visa. Unlike a tourist visa, the student visa is valid for a longer period and allows you to leave and re-enter Malaysia multiple times throughout your studies.
At this stage, the first step is to complete our online application form. Once we have received your application, our admissions team will guide you through the next steps and share all the necessary documents and instructions for your visa process.
To prepare for your visa, you will eventually need to submit the following documents to us:
Passport Copy
- Must be valid for at least 18 months from your expected entry date.
- Must include all pages (including blank pages).
- Scanned in full colour.
- Applicant must be between 18–45 years old.
Passport-Sized Photograph
- 35mm (width) x 45mm (height).
- Clear, recent, and taken against a white background.
- Should not be cropped from another photo.
- A professionally taken photo is recommended.
- For detailed requirements, visit the EMGS guidelines [HERE].

- Downloadable via the EMGS portal [HERE].
